Bachelor Nation alum Carly Waddell is switching up her 'do after ending her engagement to Todd Allen Tressler - but don't call it a post-breakup transformation. "If you get a whole new hair color in the fall, it's actually not breakup hair," Waddell, 39, said in a Friday, October 3, Instagram video. "It's fall hair." Waddell, who darkened her usually blonde locks, further defended the cost of her hair makeover in her post caption. "Girl math," she joked, referring to the online trend of women's financial prowess. "It's OK to spend too much money on your hair if you also shop at Goodwill." Carly Waddell and Ex-Fiance Todd Allen Tressler's Relationship Timeline Waddell turned to Nashville-based stylist Gina Micheletti from the Slay Bae salon to spruce up her tresses. "@Gina.doesmyhair crushed it ❤️ ❤️ ❤️," Waddell later wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, October 4. In Waddell's selfie, she complemented her new 'do - styled in loose waves - with rosy-pink eyeshadow and lipstick. The former Bachelor in Paradise star also sported a casual chic knit crop top tucked into a pair of khaki trousers. "I'm always real with you guys, so I'm going to be real with you now. I'm not wearing a ring," she said in a Wednesday, October 1, social media video. "I did break off my engagement about a month ago. We are living in a new city. It's not a decision that I personally made overnight. It was really bad timing because the kids had just started school and sports and all the things. You know what? It is what it is." Waddell shares daughter Bella, 7, and son Charlie, 5, with ex-husband Evan Bass, to whom she was married from 2017 to 2020. Waddell later started dating Tressler in 2023, and they got engaged that same year. Everything BiP's Evan and Carly Have Said About Divorce, Coparenting "I feel very at peace with this decision," Waddell explained on Wednesday. "My kids are loving life in the new place. Honestly, dating after divorce and dating with kids is super difficult. You have to make tough decisions for yourself and for your family. So, that's where I'm at." Waddell previously gave Us Weekly insight into dating as a single parent - just months before sliding into Tressler's DMs. "I have this fantasy that one day I'm just gonna be out walking around and I'm gonna meet this, like, wonderful man and he is just going to wow me," Waddell exclusively told Us in May 2023. "I'm manifesting that for myself. ... I'm good alone. I'm, like, actually doing pretty good. We have such a good thing going on now that someone stepping in and, like, changing the way that we do life makes me really a little bit nervous now." Waddell reached out to Tressler via Instagram in July 2023 before proposing the following October. The attorney later popped the question to Waddell in October 2024. "Here's to a new chapter with my dream man, and then dream ring he put on my left hand," she wrote via Instagram last year, referencing her two-stone James Allen diamond ring.
