In the new role, Chuthakieo will oversee all commercial strategy and revenue generation for the brand and its programs, which include the Golden Globes, Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest, the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. Chuthakieo will be based out of Los Angeles and will report to Dick Clark Productions CEO Jay Penske. "His broad experience across a diverse range of platforms makes him a key addition to our team and the ideal leader to help guide our next phase of global expansion." Chuthakieo joins DCP from record label 88rising, where he was chief revenue officer and oversaw sponsorship and monetization strategy for the company's music projects including its popular Head in the Clouds music festival. Before 88rising, he also held roles at Pinterest, Pandora and MySpace. "I've long admired Dick Clark Productions for its rich legacy of shaping culture through live event programming," Chuthakieo said in a statement. "I'm excited to join the team and expand the potential of these legendary properties while exploring new opportunities for growth in today's dynamic media landscape." Dick Clark Productions is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, the joint venture between Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge that also owns The Hollywood Reporter.
