John Shearer / Getty Images The split seems to have been in the works for a while, considering the couple put their 11,800-square-foot mansion in Hidden Hills up for sale for $16.5 million in February. J. P. Aussenard / Getty Images The couple first met at a Los Angeles restaurant and dated for two years before eloping in Newport Beach on Thanksgiving Day in 1997. Both Loughlin and Giannulli wore ski hats and sweatpants for the impromptu "I dos," according to the Hollywood Reporter. Ron Galella / Getty Images Although both Loughlin and Giannulli had success in their chosen careers, their popularity took a tumble in 2019 when they were accused of bribing employees at the University of Southern California to secure the "fraudulent admission" of their two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, to the school's crew team as purported athletic recruits. Giannulli served five months in jail and Loughlin served just under two months. The couple also agreed to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.
