Taylor Swift dropped her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl - and, yes, she's picking favorites. Swift, 35, took her press tour to Europe for the Friday, October 3, album release and revealed to the U.K.'s Heart Radio that "Wish List" might be her favorite song. It was also the final track on the record, she revealed. "It was the song where after we finished it, I was like, 'Oh, we're done. Like, we're we're good. We're done with this. This is the final piece.' It's a really dreamy song. It's a really romantic song," Swift said. "It details all these different things that people aspire to have in their lives and all the wishes that people are making all over the world." The synthy song has a breathy falsetto chorus, which reveals Swift's biggest wishes. "I just want you, huh / Have a couple kids, got the whole block lookin' like you / We tell the world to leave us the f*** alone, and they do," Swift sings on the chorus. "Got me dreamin' 'bout a driveway with a basketball hoop / Boss up, settle down, got a wish." Travis Kelce Reveals His Favorite Song From Taylor Swift's 12th Album During a separate interview with London-based Magic Radio, Swift said that "Wi$h Li$t" isn't just meaningful because it was the last song she made. "It's really emotional," she said of the song. "It's a very accurate stance on where I'm at in life." Swift offered more insight into writing the track in an album feature shared via Apple Music. "It is one of my favorite songs on the album, by far," the singer shared. "It's so romantic. It's got such great imagery in the verses about what kinds of lives people want and just, kind of, living in this state of acceptance of whatever way anybody wants to live in the world. As long as you get to live the way you want to live." Swift said it was "really fun" to have dollar signs in the song title, as well. "It was just a blast, as a lyricist, to come up with the pictures of different lives people want. Different goals, different wishes," she added. "I love that one." Swift announced that The Life of a Showgirl would be her next record during an August appearance on fiancé Travis Kelce's "New Heights" podcast. She took to Instagram at midnight on Friday and officially welcomed fans into this new era of music. Taylor Swift Breaks Down Inspiration for 'Life of a Showgirl' Album, Cover "Tonight all these lives converge here. The mosaics of laughter and cocktails of tears," the musician captioned her Instagram post. "Where fraternal souls sing identical things. And it's beautiful. It's rapturous. It is frightening." She added, "I can't tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right." Swift also offered a "forever thank you" to her producers Max Martin and Shellback for assisting with "this self portrait," as she called the album. "If you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain," Swift concluded, "The Life of a Showgirl is out now."
