Here's a roundup of the tracks that had me hooked with their clever, emotional, and downright "why Taylor?" moments. Starting with the best: 1. 'The Fate of Ophelia' Apple Music This reads like a dark fairytale turned power anthem: tower, powers, and then the big "Now I can see it all" mic-drop. 'Eldest Daughter' Apple Music Wanted to give her a hug here, not gonna lie. 4. 'Honey' Apple Music Awwww. Good for you Taylor, good for you. Now, here are the weirdest: 5. 'Father Figure' Apple Music Why, Taylor, why? This could not have been any more random. 6. 'Wood' Apple Music I don't think I'll be able to look at Travis Kelce the same after this. i just cannot. 7. 'CANCELLED!' Apple Music You are not their real friend if you like them in Gucci. At least have "em cloaked" in Loewe. 8. 'Elizabeth Taylor' Apple Music Can someone please explain this to me? I'm lost. 9. 'Actually Romantic' Apple Music Taylor, why'd you destroy the dog? 10. 'Wi$h Li$t' Apply Music I think I missed the part where this was supposed to somehow make sense? And then there are two songs I am on the fence about. First being 'Ruin the friendship' Apple Music Hmmmmm, this is some pretty risky advice to give ANYBODY. Second being, 'The Life of a Showgirl' Apple Music Uhmmm okay? Honestly? It's pretty clear the album did land well with me. Sure, there are flashes of brilliance with some nice lyrics, but then there are moments where I wondered if situations could've been described in literally any other way. It's a rollercoaster, with highs that shine, even if a few dips left me puzzled. What did you think about the album? Let me know in the comments!
