Rachael Kirkconnell made new memories in Japan. Kirkconnell, 29, showed off a stunning look while visiting Kyoto with her sister, Trinity Kirkconnell, and even playfully poked fun at her ex-boyfriend Matt James, who broke up with her during a January trip to the country. During her getaway, Rachael rocked a chic black outfit via Instagram on Wednesday, October 2. Her stylish ensemble consisted of a silky black tailored shirt complete with a button-up design, a relaxed collar and short sleeves. The Bachelor Nation alum styled the piece with a matching shiny pleated skirt. She accessorized with statement earrings, featuring a crystal stud and gold hoop, as well as a chunky silver cuff and black shades. Rachael teamed the look with a black shoulder bag and knee-high brown boots. Rachael previously made light of her breakup, which happened after an argument about where to go for dinner in Tokyo, while filming an ad with Brawny in February. "But now, I have someone I can always depend on. Someone strong and reliable, too," she added as the Brawny mascot cleaned up after her. Rachael first opened up about her split in January, during an episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, just 12 days after James, 33, broke the news via Instagram. She explained that the night before they broke up, the duo were butting heads over where to go for dinner, and she felt as if she was "disappointing" him over her restaurant choice. "He was like, 'I'm just so confused, like, why were you so upset. Like, what was that?'" she recalled. "And I explained to him, 'I felt like I'd let you down. I felt like that was disappointing. And I hate going to a place that isn't somewhere that you could post about [on Instagram]. I feel like it's a waste.'" James was apparently "concerned" as to why Rachael was so frustrated. "He was like, 'There was no reason for you to get upset like that.' And he found it concerning that I got that emotional, I guess," she said. Like, how are you going to be able to react to things that are actually really scary or disappointing or sad?' ... I felt like I was being punished for crying," she added. The following day, James broke up with Rachael after they had a minor disagreement that opened "a can of worms." "He said that at the end of the day there were just qualities about me that he worries about having in a wife," Rachael told host Alex Cooper. "It was just one of those things where he just had this realization that 'I should want to propose to you by this time." (Rachael and James dated for four years after finding love on The Bachelor.)
