But in a press conference with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and an interview with Fox News last month, he seemingly misspoke, saying he'd also ended a war between Azerbaijan and Albania. Michael M. Santiago / Getty Images Azerbaijan has been at war with Armenia, not Albania, and those two countries did sit down to broker a peace deal in the White House after four decades of conflict in August. Well, the gaffe does not appear to have gone unnoticed. This week, during the 7th European Political Community (EPC) Summit in Copenhagen, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, and Azerbaijan's President, Ilham Aliyev, were seen joking about it with French President Emmanuel Macron.
