The former One Direction star dropped his funk-inspired lead single, 'Lemonade' signalling the arrival of his highly anticipated third studio album, 'How Did I Get Here?', set for release on January 23rd 2026. The track pulses with a vibrant blend of funky guitar riffs, shimmering keys, and organic percussion, marking a playful yet confident evolution in Tomlinson's solo career. Commenting on the track, the 'Miss You' hitmaker says: "The most important thing was for the first single to sound ambitious sonically. It had to be big and fun. To me, 'Lemonade' really has instant and natural personality. It ended up being the perfect way to begin this chapter." Serving as the follow up to 2022's 'Faith In The Future' - which debuted at No. 1 on the Official UK Album Chart - 'How Did I Get Here?' is available to pre-oder now. The project was co-produced with Nico Rebscher (Macklemore) and partially crafted during a three-week retreat in Costa Rica, allowing Tomlinson to soak in natural inspiration. Before heading to sunnier climes, he assembled a handful of initial ideas in the English countryside at the beginning of 2025, and started writing material for what was to become his third solo LP. "I sum up it as 'the record I always deserved to make'," Louis said in a statement, reflecting on the album's personal and creative significance. "My bread and butter is the honesty. I genuinely wear my heart on my sleeve, and I hope it comes through in the music. I'm still learning and getting better as a singer and a songwriter. I find it impossible to be complacent; it's not in my vocabulary. For the first time now, I'm allowing myself to be the artist I'd always hoped to be."
