Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton in the Hamilton movie, which was recorded in 2016 vs. now Disney, Manoli Figetakis / Getty Images What he's been up to since Hamilton: After taking home Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score for Hamilton in 2016, Lin continued starring as Alexander Hamilton through July of that year. Since starring in (and creating) Hamilton, Lin has gone on to work on several movies, including directing Tick, Tick... Boom! starring Andrew Garfield. He also wrote the music for Encanto, which earned him his second Oscar nomination, and he wrote new music for the live-action The Little Mermaid and Mufasa: The Lion King. 2. Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr in the Hamilton movie, which was recorded in 2016 vs. now Disney, Dimitrios Kambouris / Getty Images for Disney What he's been up to since Hamilton: After winning Best Actor in a Musical at the Tony Awards in 2016 for Hamilton, Leslie continued starring as Aaron Burr until July of that year. Since Hamilton, Leslie notably earned his first two Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actor and for the song "Speak Now" from One Night in Miami... in 2020. He also starred in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Harriet, and had a recurring role in Abbott Elementary. Leslie returned to Broadway in Purlie Victorious in 2023, and he recently reprised his role as Aaron Burr in Hamilton on Broadway to celebrate the show's 10th anniversary. He also released several albums, including Mr and The Christmas Album. 3. Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton in the Hamilton movie, which was recorded in 2016 vs. now Disney, Dimitrios Kambouris / Getty Images for Disney What she's been up to since Hamilton: After being nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress for her work in Hamilton, Phillipa continued starring as Eliza until July 2016. Afterwards, she went on to star in Amélie, Into the Woods, and Camelot on Broadway. She has starred in movies like One True Loves and Over the Moon, as well as shows like Dopesick, The Shining Girls, and Doctor Odyssey. 4. Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler in the Hamilton movie, which was recorded in 2016 vs. now Disney, TheStewartofNY / FilmMagic / Getty Images What she's been up to since Hamilton: After winning a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Hamilton in 2016, Renée continued starring as Angelica until September of that year. After departing Hamilton, she went on to star in Girls5eva and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. She also appeared in Tick, Tick...
Boom! and she's set to star in Kathryn Bigelow's A House of Dynamite alongside Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson. 5. Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds in the Hamilton movie, which was recorded in 2016 vs. now Disney, Dimitrios Kambouris / Getty Images for Disney What she's been up to since Hamilton: Jasmine starred as Peggy/Maria until she departed the production in December 2016. She went on to appear in movies like Marriage Story, The Photograph, and Origin. In terms of TV, Jasmine starred in Mrs. Fletcher and Blindspotting. In 2020, she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for #FreeRayshawn. She also released an album in 2024 titled Phoenix. 6. Since then, he has voiced characters in movies like Soul, Trolls Band Together, and he played Sebastian in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. He also starred in the Oscar-nominated film Nickel Boys in 2024. In terms of TV, Daveed appeared in Black-ish, Blindspotting, and he starred in Snowpiercer. He's a
