Nicole Kidman has filed for divorce from husband Keith Urban, Us Weekly can confirm. The actress cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. TMZ was first to report the news on Tuesday, September 30. Us confirmed on Monday, September 29, that the pair separated after 19 years of marriage. Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, share two teen daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14. News of their split came months after Kidman attended the Met Gala solo in May. Kidman and Urban were last spotted out in public at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 game in Nashville on June 20. The Music City outing came just five days before their 19th wedding anniversary. Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise's Most Candid Quotes About Their Relationship Kidman shared a post via Instagram on June 25 to mark their marriage milestone, tagging the location as Nashville. (This marked the final time Kidman posted a photo with Urban on her main feed prior to their split.) Frazer Harrison/Getty Images "Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban," she captioned a photo of her snuggling up with Urban as he held a guitar. Kidman and Urban largely spent most of their time at their Nashville home, just one of the estates they purchased during their marriage. She previously opened up about their quiet life in Nashville and how she felt like she was a part of the community. "Well, Keith has lived in Nashville for 30 years and I have been there now for 12 years, so we're just very much a part of it," the Babygirl actress told MiNFDOOD in September 2019. Ayisha Collins/FilmMagic Kidman continued, "Keith and I actually have a very normal life. We say it over and over again and people always go, 'Yeah, right.' But we really do. We work hard for it and we protect it." She went on to say that she liked "the peacefulness" and "solitude" of Nashville. "We have a very simple life there so that is probably why I don't feel like I live this grand celebrity life," Kidman reflected on her life with Urban and the girls at the time. "I step in for a moment and then I step out - back to all the real day-to-day things." Kidman and Urban walked down the aisle in 2006 after meeting one year prior at the G'Day USA gala in Los Angeles. "I swear to you, she glided across the room, like floated. I don't know how she did it," the musician recalled during a November 2010 interview of meeting Kidman. "It was out of this world and there was a split moment where she wasn't with anybody, there was nobody around, and I thought, 'I'll just go up and say hi.'" Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban: A Timeline of Their Relationship Urban introduced himself to Kidman briefly and walked away. However, he regretted the short introduction and decided to approach Kidman a second time. "A friend of mine said, 'I think she wanted to talk to you.' And I was like 'Me? Why would she want to talk to me?'" he recalled. "So, I went back over and apologized, and we just started talking and just really clicked." Kidman and Urban's union marked her second marriage. The Being the Ricardos star was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. During her marriage to Cruise, 63, Kidman became a mom to adopted kids Isabella, now 32, and Connor, now 30.
