You wouldn't expect to see a London supermodel as a bridesmaid for a NYC Bravo reality star. However, there are plenty of surprising famous friendships - and a whole lot of unexpected celeb marriages! Here are 21 celeb couples you probably forgot were married: 1. Paula Abdul and Emilio Estevez were married from 1992 to 1994. Every few months, he called again to keep in touch. Then, in early 1991, Paula was single and in Manhattan for a show. She got another call from Emilio, who was staying in the same hotel. He asked her to dinner. Afterwards, she had to leave for her world tour. She told People, "After that, he would send flowers or letters to every city I was in. We would have phone conversations and visit every few weekends. We thought everything was perfect." She said, "He got down on his knee and said, 'I've been in love with you for a long time. I don't want to live my life without you.' I just melted." During their marriage, they were very supportive of each other, but their split ultimately boiled down to Emilio, who was already a father of two, changing his mind about having kids. Paula said, "I let [Emilio] know that I was very interested in having children... It was very hard for him to admit that he couldn't handle having kids again. It was heartbreaking for us both." Ron Galella, Ltd. / Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images Two weeks after they tied the knot in Mexico, Ali ended things amid rumors of Mario's alleged infidelity. They got an annulment. On The Wendy Williams Show, she said that "he swore that it was not true," but she had a gut feeling he was lying. She went through with the wedding anyway because her family had already booked their tickets to Mexico. She said, "I really should have put the brakes on it at that point, but I was afraid." Theo Wargo / Via Getty She later let her friend tap his phone. She said, "And right after the honeymoon, I started getting phone calls from these girls. I confronted him and he...denied it and never apologized." Gregg DeGuire / WireImage / Via Getty Seven years after the breakup, Mario publicly admitted to cheating on Ali. He told Howard Stern that he "messed around" with another woman during his bachelor party in Mexico. He said, "I had no business of being in that position... It was spring break....everybody was hanging out. That was a situation where I was not mature and man enough." Steve W. Grayson / Getty Images He said that, when his cousins surprised him with a change of plans from a fishing trip in Cabo to a "whirlwind tour" of the country, he didn't tell Ali. He was caught on camera with the other woman, and Ali confronted him after her sister showed her the picture. He said, "I was wrong for obviously lying, and I shouldn't have been in that position... I dealt with all this drama, and then at that point just realize... I finally got the balls to say, 'Hey, listen, I'm not ready for this, I'm sorry.' At that point, I was not ready to settle down. I wasn't man enough to know how to go about handling it." Frederick M. Brown / Getty Images The "horrible" situation spurred Ali to make several positive life changes, such as taking more ownership of her modeling career. She told the Unfolding Leadership podcast, "I look back on that situation, which was horrible, and I thank God every single day, because it changed me as a woman. It changed the way...I walk through this world, 100 percent. I am so much better because that happened. I am forever grateful for that." Frazer Harrison / Getty Images 3. Arrested Development actor Will Arnett and Carlito's Way actor Penelope Ann Miller were married from 1994 to 1995.
