Double dates are supposed to be fun - not full of drama. In Us Weekly's exclusive sneak peek of the Sunday, September 28, episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Loren Brovarnik and Alexei Brovarnik appear to be spending some quality time with Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren. After a game of "Never Have I Ever," Alexei decides to go back in time and pull up some photos of himself from when he was a teenager. "I used to have a piercing [under my lip] for a while. It was, like, a spiky thing," he reveals. "I had blonde hair with spikes [too]." '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' Midseason Teaser: Jasmine Fears Deportation While Loren clarifies that her man had the haircut where it "slimmed back," Alexei says he has no regrets as he pulls out his phone and shares throwback photos. Later on in the conversation, Loren says she looks the same as she did in high school. While Jovi agrees, he can't say the same thing about his partner, Yara. "Yo, Yara's are the worst," he shares. "My pictures? I kind of look the same. Yara's are the f***ing worst. This person is unrecognizable." Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya Courtesy of TLC While Loren is quick to defend her friend and says she's "beautiful," the damage may already be done. "I feel like you're sleeping on the balcony," Yara tells Jovi. "You should get your own room." The tension only continued during a couples confessional interview. For Yara, who has been outspoken about her insecurities, hearing critical words was not what she had expected to experience while filming. "It's just really hurtful that you would bring it up, Jovi," she says. "You should know better." Yara Zaya Courtesy of TLC Jovi replies, "I mean, Yara, you were a kid. I said you look different now than you looked in the past. I mean, it's no secret. You had some work done. The truth is the truth and that's it. I don't think it's that bad." During a 2023 episode of 90 Day: The Last Resort, Yara - who is from Ukraine - got emotional when discussing how her upbringing caused her to have a "level of insecurity" when it comes to her body. "For me, it's cultural," she explained. "My parents, for example, always, always compare me to be somebody different. You need to be perfect. Growing up, my mom, for example, taught me that my nose wasn't so good. Or they tell me I'm chunky or something like that." "It's just hard," she added while trying to hold back tears. "But then I grew up and still think sometimes if I gain two extra pounds then I'm chunky, like, that's just something I cannot freaking cut off." 90 Days' Yara Zaya Doesn't Regret Taking Birth Control Behind Jovi's Back Yara and Jovi met in Budapest in 2018. Two years later, the couple got married in a Las Vegas wedding chapel with the ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator. They have since welcomed a daughter named Mylah. "Wow, can't believe we have a 5-year-old @yarazaya," Jovi wrote via Instagram on September 3. "Happy Birthday Mylah Bulishka!! @mylah.angelina Thanks for bringing joy and happiness into our life ❤️❤️." 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? airs on TLC Sundays at 8 p.m. ET.
