Aryan Khan's series The Ba***ds of Bollywood has run into controversy after viewers pointed out that one of its characters strongly resembles former Narcotics Control Bureau officer Sameer Wankhede, the officer who arrested Aryan in the 2021 cruise ship drug case. The resemblance quickly drew attention online and now Wankhede has filed a defamation case against Aryan, Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, along with Netflix. Wankhede has described the show as "false, malicious, and defamatory" and accused the makers of attempting to damage his reputation.
