The show has since been reinstated (returning tonight), but not before people became concerned about the future of the First Amendment, and celebrities pulled out of a Disney documentary performance and canceled their Disney+ subscriptions. Randy Holmes / Disney via Getty Images Even Ted Cruz jumped in to "back" Jimmy Kimmel, worried about the precedent the suspension could set for America's future. Well, Americans weren't the only ones concerned about the potential incursion on free speech protections. Over in the Netherlands, comedian Arjen Lubach, host of late-night show LUBACH, absolutely tore into the Trump administration and the Walt Disney Company over the Jimmy Kimmel Live! suspension in a video shared on the show's YouTube channel. NBC / NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images Arjen began by saying, "So, Jimmy Kimmel's show has been canceled by Disney, because Trump and a helpful bureaucrat are silencing everyone who dares criticize him. Trump has broken the will of these companies." @LUBACH / CHRIS DELMAS/AFP via Getty Images / Via youtube.com Arjen is referencing the FCC chair, Brendan Carr, who NPR reported has "made clear he will use the FCC's powers to review major deals to wring concessions from corporate owners." Carr later said that "his comments about Kimmel had nothing to do with ABC's decision to suspend the late-night host." "Even a giant like Disney is scared of him," Arjen continued. "Everything has to be exactly how Trump likes it. Everything has to be MAGA now. And when you look at Disney's new plans, you can sort of see the results." @LUBACH / Via youtube.com BuzzFeed TrendingHot TopicLet's chat about all things PoliticsSee our Politics Discussions The show then went into a satirical announcement from "Disney," with a voiceover reading, "Our nation is changing. In order to ensure the continued provision of high-quality works to our audience, the Walt Disney Company acknowledges the necessity of adapting our content." @LUBACH / Via youtube.com "We bring you a whole new Disney," the voiceover continued, as the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas rose from behind the Cinderella Castle. @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com The show then played multiple Disney movie parodies, starting with Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa from The Lion King singing "Hakuna MAGA-ta" in red MAGA hats. @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com "There are new stories to be told," the voiceover continued, as they showed a clip from Beauty and the Beast that had been changed to have Belle's dad saying, "Oh, Belle. You're so hot. If you weren't my daughter. I'd probably be dating you." @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com Next up, Aladdin appeared singing "A Whole New World" while on a carpet ride with Jasmine before Aladdin was intercepted by an ICE agent and arrested. @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com "New songs to be sung," continued the voiceover, as "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Encanto began to play, with the lyrics swapped out with, "We don't talk about Jeffrey [Epstein]," whose face had been photoshopped onto Bruno's. @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com "New sequels to timeless classics," the voiceover said, as a parody of Inside Out appeared, showing a cartoonized version of Donald Trump and Anger saying, "Lock her up." @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com Then they played Eric from The Little Mermaid, who said to Ariel, "Ok, I'm gonna grab you by the pussy. Ok. Eh... Where is your pussy?" @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com "Because not every voice needs to be heard," the voiceover continued, as they showed Bambi's mother saying, "Bambi, trans women are women," before showing her roasting on a spit. @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com "Mama?" Bambi asked from the shadows. Then a Frozen satire appeared, where Anna asked, "Olaf, you are made out of snow, right?" "Yes," Olaf replied. "So that means climate change isn't real!" Elsa said. "Yeah!" Olaf cheered. @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com The video continued with images of a number of parodied shows, with the voiceover adding, "Making our company great again with brand new adventures." @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com The parodies included "High School Musical Shooting," "JD Vance Live," "Lady and the Tramp Stamp," "Snow White Lives Matter," "The Lying King," and "Rapunzel: Tales of a Tradwife." Finally, the video took a direct jab at FCC chair Brendan Carr, with a parody movie called "Carrs," with a silver car character with glasses who said, "I'm going to go suck Donald Trump's dick!" @LUBACH / Disney / Via youtube.com After the vide
