A wrestling legend is gone. Hulk Hogan has passed away at 71, according to TMZ. Medics were sent to the former reality TV star's Clearwater, Florida home early Thursday morning for "cardiac arrest." Several police cars and emergency medical technicians reportedly were parked outside his house, and he was carried out on a stretcher before being put inside an ambulance. Hulk's cause of death is unknown at this time. However, there were rumors over the past few weeks that the Hogan Knows Best star was on his deathbed. The speculation began when his former friend and radio shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge, whose real name is Todd Clem, claimed he was told Hulk was suffering from heart failure and dying in the hospital. When a fan asked if he was in a coma and dying, PennLive.com reported she revealed that was far from the truth. She said on Instagram Stories that he was actually recovering after undergoing an "intense surgery": "No, he's definitely not in a coma! His heart is strong, and there was never any lack of oxygen or brain damage. None of those rumors are true. He's been recovering from a major four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusin (ACDF), which is an intense surgery with a long and layered healing process. If you look it up, you'll see what the last six weeks have involved... not just for his spine, but also for his vocal cords, and the eating/breathing tubes that are clamped over during surgery." According to Columbia University, an anterior cervical discectomy is "a procedure that removes a damaged intervertebral disc from the spine in the neck, using a surgical approach from the front of the neck." Whoa! Sky was not kidding when she said the operation was intense! She continued: "We've been in an out of the hospital to support that recovery. So truly, there's no need for the drama or panic some people try to stir up. He's healing and we're taking it one day at a time with love, strength, and patience." And now Hulk has passed away... We can't imagine how hard this is on his family. Tributes have already started to pour in online for Hulk.
