With every weekend, there's a new question to answer - what should I watch? If you've just revisited your favorite classic movie for the 10th time, you may feel a little lost in all the options out there. That's why Watch With Us keeps track of the most interesting underrated movies on every platform - including Netflix. This weekend, we're recommending an Indian film with an Americana twist, a rom-com about a different kind of love and one of Nicolas Cage's best films of the decade. Check them out now. 'The Archies' (2023) Well, here's something you didn't see coming - an adaptation of the Archie comics set in 1960s India. In The Archies, Riverdale is a sort of utopia for Indian-British families where soda shops and poodle skirts reign supreme. 7 New Movies to Watch This Weekend on Netflix, Prime Video and More (Sept. 19-21) Archie (Agastya Nanda), Betty (Khushi Kapoor), Veronica (Suhana Khan), Jughead (Mihir Ahuja) and the rest of the gang enjoy sock hops and picnics in the park - until Veronica's father (Alyy Khan) announces a plan to tear up the park and build a grand hotel in its place. It's up to the teens to come together and save the town they love. The plot is cutesy, feel-good fun, but it's the stunningly creative production design that really shines in this film. 'The Half of It' (2020) Loosely inspired by Cyrano de Bergerac, this movie is less of a rom-com and more of a friend-com - and we really love to see it. The story follows Ellie Chu (Leah Lewis), a high school senior in a very small town who is grieving the loss of her mother and hiding the fact that she is a lesbian - all while writing essays for other students to earn extra cash. When inarticulate jock Paul (Daniel Diemer) hires her to write letters to their mutual crush, Aster (Alexxis Lemire), she takes the job - and ends up forming closer bonds with both Aster and Paul along the way. Sweet, heartfelt and funny, The Half of It is a coming-of-age story that feels painfully relatable no matter your age or orientation. 'Pig' (2021) Nicolas Cage stars in this drama film that resembles a cross between John Wick and The Bear. Cage plays Rob, a former gourmet Portland chef who now lives in the woods as a truffle hunter with only his prized pig for company. 8 Must-Watch Rom-Com Movies on Netflix (September 2025): 'Anyone But You' and More When the pig is kidnapped, he goes on a quest to find her, forcing him to confront people from his past and face violent obstacles. Between action scenes, the film focuses on the evocative power of food to create connection and bring back memories. It's an intense, intelligent and moving film that's full of succulent surprises.
