Every Friday brings an important question with it - 'What should I watch this weekend?" A TV show or a movie? Comedy or drama? And which streaming service should I browse? Watch With Us is taking the question out of your weekend watch by suggesting three excellent Hulu shows available to stream now. From canceled-too-soon gems to a TNT show that didn't reach a broad audience, these picks are sure to surprise you - so sit back, hit play and check out these underrated Hulu shows. 'Reboot' (2022) We're still not sure why Reboot got canceled. It earned great reviews, accumulating an impressive 84 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and streaming aggregator sites like ReelGood reported solid viewership numbers. But don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened - and Reboot has smiles to spare. 7 New Shows to Watch This Weekend on Netflix, Prime Video and More (September 19-21) The show-within-a-show follows the cast and writers of a rebooted Full House-esque sitcom whose personal lives are quickly turned upside down when the older and newer generations collide. Head writer Hannah Korman (Rachel Bloom) revives the show to get back at her estranged father (Paul Reiser), who created the original series, but ends up forced to collaborate with him as a co-showrunner. Cast members Bree (Judy Greer) and Reed (Keegan-Michael Key) can't resist the romantic chemistry that plagued them back in the day, while addict Clay Barber (Johnny Knoxville) struggles to maintain sobriety and child star Zack (Calum Worthy) fights to be taken seriously as an adult. It's a clever commentary on the TV business from Modern Family creator Steven Levitan. 'Claws' (2017-2022) Produced by Rashida Jones and starring criminally underrated actress Niecy Nash-Betts, Claws is one of those shows you may never have heard of that has a rabid fan base. It's a sad truth that shows on cable networks like TNT just don't pull in as many viewers as prestige networks, but Claws deserves to be seen by everyone. What to Watch on Hulu in September 2025: 'Chad Powers,' 'Swiped' and More It follows five manicurists who work together at a nail salon in South Florida, saving up to open their own business. But when they start laundering money to make some extra cash, their financial aspirations grow - and so does their criminal empire. A crime comedy that's anchored by female friendship, Claws isn't afraid to be as big, loud and bold as the acrylic nails of its protagonists. The ensemble is packed with standouts, including Judy Reyes, Carrie Preston, Karrueche Tran and Jenn Lyon. And of course, there's Breaking Bad alum Dean Norris as the drawling, vindictive crime boss "Uncle Daddy," making every scene he's in both menacing and hilarious. 'How I Met Your Father' (2022-2023) This spinoff of How I Met Your Mother stars Hilary Duff as Sophie Tompkins, a hopeless romantic who meets several wonderful men on one fateful night - one of whom would become the father of her son. In the future, an older Sophie (Kim Cattrall) tells her son the tale. 20 Must-Watch Sitcoms on Hulu Right Now (September 2025) How I Met Your Father leans pretty heavily on nostalgia - for its predecessor series, for its star and for the early 2000s in general. There are guest appearances from Josh Peck and NSYNC members, and they even used a Lizzie McGuire clip in one episode! But it was really starting to find its footing and identity in the second season. It's another case of "canceled too soon," but it's still fun comfort viewing that will delight fans of old-school sitcoms. The talented cast has excellent chemistry, creating friendships that feel lived-in and real. Duff's castmates (Christopher Lowell, Tien Tran, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma and Tom Ainsley) have great comedic timing and the jokes are sharp. We'll never find out who the father is because of the early cancellation, but we'll always have Reddit threads where we can argue about who it should have been.
