Globally popular K-pop band BTS's agency HYBE has landed in controversy after police raided its offices in connection with an alleged fraudulent stock trading case involving founder Bang Si-hyuk. As per a statement shared by the Financial Crimes Investigating Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police, "We are conducting a search and seizure at HYBE's headquarters in Yongsan District." This raid is a part of an ongoing probe against Chairman Bang. It is alleged that he misled investors ahead of BTS' global success.
