Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, who is best known for the song Ya Ali from the movie Gangster: A Love Story has sadly died after a freak scuba diving accident in Singapore on Friday. He was 52 at the time of his death. He became famous in the '90s in the regional Assamese music industry. He slowly became a household name all over India after the release of Ya Ali. His other songs include Dil Tu Hi Bataa, O Bondhu Re, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and more. The news of his death was confirmed by Assam Cabinet Minister Ashok Singhal.
