The company has formally partnered with acclaimed French colorist Yov Moor, marking the latest expansion of the boutique editing and finishing shop, which has become a fixture at top festivals. Moor, best known in Europe for his lush grading work on Cannes titles such as Tran Anh Hung's The Taste of Things and Gilles Lellouche's Beating Hearts, has long collaborated with Cutting Edge co-founder Matthieu Laclau, the French editor celebrated for his decade of work with Jia Zhangke. The pair first teamed on Midi Z's The Road to Mandalay and have since built a shared résumé of 10 films - many produced by Cutting Edge's co-founder Justine O. Elsewhere in the lineup, Moor graded Richard Linklater's Nouvelle Vague and Juliette Binoche's experimental project In-I In Motion, while Cutting Edge stalwart Tom Hsing-Ming Lin handled the edit on Lee Hong-chi's Dance in Vain. "Whenever I work with Yov, I can't wait for the moment I receive his first gradings," said Laclau. "In editing, we watch the images over and over again until we lose any pleasure in seeing them. But every time Yov grades a film, I get the feeling of watching it for the very first time." Now based in Tokyo, Moor, like Laclau, is among the rare Western post-production talents deeply embedded in Asia's film industries. "Having them on the same team is every producer's dream: they both push boundaries, enhance the director's vision, and bring films to the level international festivals demand," Cutting Edge said in a statement. Cutting Edge's expansion comes as Taipei continues to consolidate its reputation as one of Asia's most dynamic post hubs, offering world-class finishing at competitive costs. Moor's recent record - adds to that momentum. "We're so proud to welcome Yov to Cutting Edge Films," the company added. "Over the years, we've built trust and friendship, and our shared wish is to collaborate on as many films as possible."
