During the Wednesday, September 17, conclusion to the hit Prime Video show, Belly (Lola Tung) and Conrad (Chris Briney) got a second chance at romance when he visited her in Paris. A few minor hiccups nearly kept them from getting back together, but after a surprising sex scene, an emotional conversation and an instantly classic love confession, Belly and Conrad were officially endgame. Fans of Han's book series were excited to see how the final moments of the show would follow Belly and Conrad as a couple after they left Paris. And while there was a scene of them returning to Cousins, the finale wrapped it up there. For those that wanted a full picture of how Belly's story ended in Han's trilogy, Us has dug out our copy of We'll Always Have Summer, which concluded with Belly reading the letter Susannah wrote for her wedding day. In the last chapter of Han's book, Belly also reflected on the years between her failed engagement to Jeremiah (Gavin Casalengo) and her happily ever after with Conrad. The setting then jumped to Belly's wedding day. "I am wearing the dress my mother and I picked out together - creamy white with lace cap sleeves and a low back. My hair, my hair that we spent an hour pinning up, is falling out of the side bun, and long wet strands of hair are flying around my face as we run for the car in the pouring rain. Balloons are everywhere. My shoes are off, I am barefoot, holding his gray suit jacket over my head," Belly explained. "He runs ahead of me and opens the car door. We are just married." He has his arm around his date, and our eyes meet. He gives me a small wave. I wave back and blow him a kiss. He smiles and turns back to his date," she continued. "Conrad opens the car door and slides into the driver's seat. His white shirt is soaked through - I can see his skin. ... He turns on the ignition, and then we're off. We head for the ocean. We hold hands the whole way. When we get there, it is empty, so we park right on the sand. It's still raining out." At the last second he picks me up like he is carrying me across a threshold." It concluded: "'I go wherever you go,' he says, launching us into the water. This is our start. This is the moment it becomes real. We are married. We are infinite. Me and Conrad. The first boy I ever slow danced with, ever cried over. Ever loved." The onscreen change comes after Han teased plans not to follow every detail in her book. The author also hinted at a possible spinoff - or so fans thought - when a letter from her shown at the end of the final featured a surprising note. "We put our whole hearts into this show, and we're so thankful to you for coming along with us on the ride," she wrote. "Maybe we'll meet again one summer in Cousins.
