Emily Osment and Montana Jordan's characters on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage have faced issues in their marriage over their age gap - but how will that continue in season 2? During the Warner Bros. Television Group's Emmy Party on September 13, Jordan, 22, joked about the difference, exclusively telling Us Weekly, "Age ain't nothing but a number, baby. I don't even know how that song goes." Jordan and his costar Jessie Prez noted that they didn't know too far ahead about where the story is heading. "I don't want to know when [Georgie and Mandy] break up yet. I prefer to be surprised," Prez added. "It's interesting, when we get the scripts, we usually get the scripts the night before. We never know what's happening." For fans who need a refresher, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage picks up where Young Sheldon left off with the titular characters. After meeting during season 5 of The Big Bang Theory prequel, Georgie (Jordan), who was 17 at the time, lied that he was 21, while 29-year-old Mandy (Osment) pretended to be 25. Georgie and Mandy ultimately came clean - and then realized that they were expecting their first baby. Based on the show's title, viewers were concerned that Georgie and Mandy wouldn't make it. (According to past episodes of The Big Bang Theory, Georgie had two ex-wives and he runs a largest tire-selling chain in Texas, which already happened in the season 1 finale when he bought McAllister Auto and Tire.) "We all know there's an inevitable breakup in the future. As the title says [this is] the first marriage," Jordan shared with Us in October 2024. "But whether we know [about] the second marriage or third marriage [is a different story]." Every Time 'Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage' Addressed the Age Gap At the time, Jordan pointed out that Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage has leaned into the unknown. "The story line is that Georgie gets married and divorced, like, two or three times. But we don't know past that. We don't know if it's with Mandy or with somebody else," he said. "We have no idea. As an actor in the show, I have no idea. I don't even know if the writers do. We're all just going with the flow and seeing what people like."
