Based in Los Angeles, Canfield will bolster THR's awards season coverage, write cover stories and celebrity profiles, report from key film festivals and help book talent for the publication's signature Roundtable series. He arrives from Vanity Fair, where he served as a Hollywood correspondent and co-hosted the popular Little Gold Men podcast. During his four-plus years at Vanity Fair, Canfield wrote marquee profiles of stars including Scarlett Johansson, Cate Blanchett and Benedict Cumberbatch and delivered deeply reported features on everything from the enduring queer subtext of The Talented Mr. Ripley and Brokeback Mountain to the storied relationship between Cary Grant and Randolph Scott.
