This is the second time the Spare author has visited the country since Russia invaded in 2022. Although Prince William wanted to travel to the country himself as part of his 2023 trip to Poland, it was deemed "too dangerous" for the future monarch. According to insiders, William was "rankled" and "fuming" over Harry's trip after his own security team "firmly rejected" the possibility of him venturing there himself. _ Earlier this year, Prince William got as close to Ukraine as he could during a two-day trip to Estonia. During his time in the nearby country, the Prince of Wales worked in his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Mercian Regiment as they geared up for a new assignment in the region. _ Despite not being involved with the firm since he and Meghan Markle dramatically retired from their official royal duties in 2020, Prince Harry made numerous official engagements during his time in the U.K., while also taking time to visit his father, King Charles III. While it may look like the 41-year-old is trying to get back into the royal fold, his rift with Prince William is said to be worse than ever.
