Produced by Zhone (Kylie Minogue, Troye Sivan, Kesha), 'Here All Night' fully cements Demi's dance-pop era. The synth-heavy track is a playful breakup track which showcases Demi's powerhouse vocals perfectly. Teamed up with pulsating production, 'Here All Night' is a euphoric anthem for nights that never end. The track has been paired with a visually stunning music video, which sees Demi dancing around her apartment, embracing freedom. The visual was directed by frequent collaborator Hannah Lux Davis, who was also responsible for the 'Cool For The Summer' and 'Sorry Not Sorry' videos. Speaking to the songwriting process of the single, Demi shares: "'Here All Night' is a breakup song I wrote by channeling a character, and it was so freeing to step into someone else's story." On the video, Demi adds: "From the moment we finished the song, I knew it needed to be a dance video. It's about dancing through heartbreak. It's raw and empowering, with a playful, voyeuristic point of view." To celebrate the release of 'Here All Night', Demi held a "girls & gays music video night" alongside fellow stars and top creators. As detailed in GQ, gay music video night is "the pregame tradition that's become a secular ritual for queer pop fans," and this event was no exception. Guests arrived to an outdoor space outfitted with couches, a photo booth, a gifting suite, and a 20-foot projection screen playing music videos submitted in advance by attendees. They enjoyed a taco stand, cotton candy and popcorn machines, a churro sundae truck, a pickle bar (courtesy of Jimmy Johns), an ice cream cake from The Bigg Chill, Caliwater, and other refreshments. Among those in attendance were Kim Petras, Adéla, Adore Delano, Markell Washington, and Tayshia Adams, joined by "Here All Night" director Hannah Lux Davis and fellow creatives. The programming officially kicked off when hosts Trisha Paytas and Oscar Gracey took the stage to welcome the audience, share their own favorite music videos, and set the tone for the night. Together, the group revisited some of Demi's most iconic videos, including 'Heart Attack' and 'Cool for the Summer,' before the clock struck 9 p.m. PT / midnight ET and the crowd tuned into the live premiere of 'Here All Night.' The moment was capped by Demi and the video's director, Hannah Lux Davis, joining the audience to share stories about the creative process - before the video was played once more to the crowd's delight. 'Here All Night' follows on from previous single 'Fast', and is the second track to be taken from Demi's highly anticipated ninth studio album, which is being described as "celebratory dance-pop"," is on the way." Speaking about working with Demi, her executive producer Zhone said: "It's been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up. She is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout." Demi will be taking part in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge Month, with her performance due to take place on October 22. Fans can expect to hear Demi's own songs as well as her choice of cover - Demi went viral for her cover of Hozier's 'Take Me To Church' back in 2015 so we can't wait to see what she chooses this time!
