George Rose / Getty Images The lawsuit apparently stated that the "intersection is controlled by stop signs in all directions," and the plaintiff "made sure there were no other vehicles" around before she drove forward. The lawsuit continued that Ellen allegedly "suddenly and without warning" crashed into the plaintiff's vehicle and "t-boned" her, which led to the woman's injuries. Elsewhere in the lawsuit, it apparently added that Ellen allegedly "negligently caused, or contributed to causing plantiff's vehichle to be collided with by the defendants' vehicle." The woman now suing Ellen for general negligence and an undisclosed amount of damages claimed that she suffered wage loss and accrued medical expenses. This development is interesting considering the retired comedian no longer lives in the US. Ellen and her wife, Portia de Rossi, reportedly moved to the Cotswolds, a rural area in England, following the 2024 US presidential election.
