León, one of the most popular Regional Mexican acts in the world, will play the Sphere as part of Las Vegas' Mexican Independence Day celebration one year from now, on Sept. 11, Sept. 12 and Sept. 13 2026. The show is being promoted by AEG Presents, with a presale slated to begin on Sept. 23 at noon PST. The general on-sale will take place on Sept. 26 at noon PST. León's shows will likely be the first Spanish-language shows the Sphere has hosted, with León joining a roster of stars to have played the Sphere including U2, Eagles, Dead and Company, the Backstreet Boys and Kenny Chesney. Earlier this week, the Eagles announced they would be playing more shows at the venue for their residency next year. Outside of the sphere shows, León most recently dropped the bilingual single "Lost in Translation" with country star Kacey Musgraves, and back in March became the first Mexican act to hit the main stage at RodeoHouston. Meanwhile, outside of the concerts, the Sphere has generated significant buzz in recent weeks after the opening of its Wizard of Oz adaptation, with the venue having already sold hundreds of thousands of tickets for the film. Along with re-making the movie itself to fit its high tech spherical screen, the Sphere also painstakingly re-recorded the Wizard of Oz original score.
