Watch: Where Miranda Cosgrove Stands With Former 'iCarly' Costar Jennette McCurdyMiranda Cosgrove is seeing the brighter side of her onscreen friendships. The iCarly alum-who starred as titular vlogger Carly Shay-reflected on her time on the Nickelodeon series, including where she stands with her former costar Jennette McCurdy. "We had each other," Miranda, 32, told People in an interview published on Sept. 7, adding that she's also on good terms with co-star Nathan Kress. "I'll always love them, and they'll always be family to me, because we grew up together for so many years." Indeed, the trio were teens when iCarly premiered in 2007. (Miranda and Nathan, who played Freddie Benson, were 14, while Jennette took on the role as Carly's best friend, Sam Puckett, at 15.) Though they were close leading up to the show's ending in 2012, Miranda revealed that she hasn't talked to Jennette, 33, in recent years. photosThe Burning Questions Answered By the iCarly Revival-Or Not"I don't really see her as much now," the School of Rock actor explained. "I always know she's out there, and that if I really needed her I could call her, and I hope she knows the same. I'm always going to be cheering for her."In fact, Miranda praised the Sam & Cat star on the success of her 2022 memoir I'm Glad My Mom Died, which Jennette started writing after she retired from acting in 2018. "I feel like that's amazing, because her path led her to the thing that she loves," she noted. "So I'm really happy for her."Charley Gallay/WireImageAnd as Jennette detailed her complicated rise to stardom in her memoir, Miranda and Nathan-alongside their original iCarly costar Jerry Trainor-reunited for the sitcom's reboot in 2021. When the revival's trailer premiered on Paramount+ that year, viewers noticed that Jennette was absent from the cast, and the author later confirmed that she wasn't interested in reprising her role. Though Jennette never made an appearance during the show's two-year run, Miranda supported and respected her decision. "We all called her separately and we really wanted her to be a part of it, but at the same time I'm happy for her because I know that she's taken her life in a different direction," Miranda told E! News in June 2021. "She's really enjoying what she's doing right now, so I think we all kind of did what we were probably meant to do." His big-screen roles that decade included voicing young Simba in The Lion King (though that's not him singing) and starring with Brad Renfro in 1995's Tom and Huck and Devon Sawa in 1997's Wild America. He left Home Improvement in 1998 (Randy went to Costa Rica) to focus on school, but kept acting on his list of extracurriculars. He had a recurring role on 8 Simple Rules in 2004 and in 2013 reunited with TV dad Tim Allen to direct (and appear in ) several episodes of Last Man Standing. But though JTT backed away from the spotlight to live his life, which included graduating from Columbia in 2010, Thomas doesn't need to be onscreen to cause a splash: On the rare occasions the paparazzi snap him, the sightings go viral.

He went on to roles in the Stuart Little films, Doctor Dolittle (voicing Baby Tiger), The Little Vampire and Little Mike, and he guest-starred on Dawson's Creek, but took a break to have a normal high school experience. He's still in showbiz as an adult, starring in the 2023 Lifetime movie Secrets at the Museum. The L.A. native is also a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and in May 2021 he volunteered to provide additional security outside a mid-city synagogue amid a rise in anti-Semitic vandalism and harassment. In 2017, Lipnicki opened up on Instagram about the bullying he experienced in middle school, hoping that sharing his experience could lend some comfort to others. He was "made fun of relentlessly" by some kids who then, down the road, must have forgotten their bad behavior and tried to friend him on Facebook. "I was told I was a has-been and would never book a job again," he recalled. He started having nightly panic attacks, anticipating the next day's humiliation. Yet he had survived, adding, "I am grateful for the amazing life I have and I hope I can pass on that it DOES get better."Getty ImagesMara WilsonWilson starred in Mrs. Doubtfire at 6 and Matilda at 9 before putting acting on the back burner.
