Emma Heming Willis has experienced a wave of support from her stepdaughters amid the release of her book, The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path. Featured in the book was a series of reviews and comments from Heming Willis' closest confidants, celebrities and her husband Bruce Willis' three older daughters, Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31, whom he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore. (The family jointly announced Willis' frontotemporal dementia diagnosis in February 2023, one year after revealing he had aphasia.) "Watching the journey our stepmom has bravely embarked on has been life-changing. Not only has she deeply educated and immersed herself in the world of caregiving, she has taken on this unexpected life change with poise and elegance," the girls wrote. "So much fell on Emma to really figure this whole thing out and the most beautiful thing ... was recognizing the importance for caregivers is that they have to take care of themselves," she shared. "If they don't put that time into making sure that they're OK, then they can't show up for anyone else." She has been so dedicated to forging the right path. She's had equal amounts of fear and strength and courage in navigating this." Moore, who has maintained a close relationship with Willis, 70, since their 2000 divorce, admitted it was difficult to watch the condition impact him. "It's hard to see somebody who was so vibrant and strong and so directed shift into this other part of themselves," Moore said. "My particular perspective is, one I really always say it's so important just to meet them where they're at."
