Taylor Hill / Getty Images Marking her first appearance at the awards show in five whole years, Ari showed up with her family, fangirled over everyone, took pics with her famous fans, and went home with three awards. Not too shabby! Manny Carabel / Getty Images ICYMI, she won Best Long-Form Video, Best Pop, and Video of the Year for "Brighter Days Ahead." And her superstar night wouldn't have been complete without some superstar looks - and it's safe to say that Ari delivered the goods with not one, not two, but FOUR different outfit changes throughout the ceremony. Jeff Kravitz / Getty Images Ariana was styled by the iconic Law Roach, and - proving she was in full-popstar mode - the Wicked star ditched the Glinda pinks for the night and opted for some chic, mostly monochromatic gowns. And I actually can't decide which one was my favorite... First up, we had this custom Fendi strapless polka-dot number, which had a subtle pop of pale pink in the middle. We also saw the return of the signature Ariana ponytail, but with a sophisticated twist, pairing it with a matching polka-dot bow. Once she'd walked the red carpet, Ari swapped polka dots for sequins as she changed into a shimmering black floor-length gown by Tamara Ralph. The sheer skirt and puffy chiffon sleeves? I'm obsessed. Kevin Mazur / Getty Images Mike Coppola / Getty Images Naturally, she brought out the Glitter to present Mariah Carey with the Video Vanguard Award. Perfect. And when it came time to collect her own awards, Ariana turned up the heat and pulled out some dramatic silhouettes, starting off with this Glinda-esque ballgown by Steve O Smith she wore while accepting the Best Pop award. Johnny Nunez / Getty Images Manny Carabel / Getty Images No pink? No problem. The corset top and voluminous skirt looked like they'd had a bucket of black paint thrown on them - and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible. The saying goes, Save the best 'til last, and that may have been precisely what Ariana and Law did with this bright white tutu-inspired dress from Givenchy, designed by Sarah Burton. After all, the VMAs are the perfect place to get a little fun with your fashion choices. Kevin Mazur / Getty Images Manny Carabel / Getty Images Once again, she kept the jewelry minimal and whipped her hair up into a ballerina-esque bun for the second half of the show. I am loving this partnership between Ariana and Law, and, if it continues, I'm excited to see what they might pull out of the bag on the Wicked: For Good press tour later this year. Kevin Mazur / Getty Images But first, which of these looks was your favorite? For me, it's between the black sequins and the white Givenchy tutu, but LMK your thoughts in the comments.
