Maybe her mom is talented."by Hannah MarderBuzzFeed StaffFacebookPinterestLink Recently, we wrote about nepo babies whom people think shouldn't be famous. Now we're back with the opposite - here are 23 nepo babies that people think are actually more talented than their celeb parents, according to this Reddit thread. 1. First, let's start with the most obvious: Miley Cyrus. Gilbert Carrasquillo/GC Images via Getty Images "Billy Ray was a midrange mediocre country singer that no one knew the name of until he had one annoying novelty song that broke containment into the greater zeitgeist for about three months. He'd be the lower left Hollywood Square by now if he didn't sperm up a gem of a kid."-u/Miami_Mice2087 Miley's dad is, of course, Billy Ray Cyrus. In the '90s, Billy Ray's song "Achy Breaky Heart" catapulted him into country fame. Younger audiences will obviously recognize him from his Hannah Montana role with Miley and his feature on "Old Town Road" with Lil Nas X. Weiss Eubanks / NBCUniversal via Getty Images 2. Benedict Cumberbatch Dia Dipasupil / WireImage "Benedict Cumberbatch is hilarious as his parents tried really hard to get him to do anything else because acting was such a tough profession for them, and then at one point his dad was like, 'Oh, you're much better than we are!'"-u/teachertraveler1"Benedict Cumberbatch. His parents are solid, working actors, but neither ever had anywhere near the fame he's having."-u/Angelou898 His parents are actors Timothy Carlton and Wanda Ventham. Both have numerous credits, mostly in British TV, and in a fun easter egg, appeared as Sherlock's parents in Benedict's series Sherlock. Karwai Tang / WireImage via Getty Images 3. Jeff Buckley rans Schellekens/Redferns "If we're counting musicians, I freaking LOVED his dad's music (Tim Buckley), but you gotta admit Jeff Buckley was one of a kind."-u/Top-Raspberry-7837"This is a weird one because I don't think Jeff benefited much from his father. His father was very much a deadbeat and then died when Jeff was quite young.I'm not disputing if he's a nepo baby because obviously, his dad was famous, and there's a good chance his record label took a chance on him because of that name recognition. It's just tougher to assess because his dad certainly wasn't actively pulling strings. Obviously, one can still benefit without active parental campaigning. I just don't think this one is particularly strong.

Goddamn, were both of these men talented, though."-u/veronica-marsx His dad was musician Tim Buckley, whose biggest hit was "Song to the Siren." Buckley died at 28, and Jeff only met him once when he was eight. Still, he followed in his father's footsteps, launching a successful music career. He's probably best known for his cover of "Hallelujah." Michael Ochs Archives / Getty Images 4. Jeff Bridges Alberto E. He has way more range than his father and grandfather."-u/HandsomePaddyMint Jeff's dad was Lloyd Bridges, best known for starring in war films and westerns, the TV show Sea Hunt, and, for more modern audiences, as Steve McCroskey in Airplane!. While yes, Lloyd was massively famous and successful, Jeff has been nominated for seven Oscars, winning one - Lloyd wasn't nominated for even one. Archive Photos / Getty Images 5. Chris Pine Taylor Hill / FilmMagic via Getty Images "Chris's dad was an actor mostly known for some '70s cop show."-u/missbunnyfantastico"My fun fact I frequently share is that his dad, Robert Pine, also played the Zorp cult leader guy on Parks and Rec."-u/curleecrimp"I love Robert Pine. He's one of my favorite actors from the '70s. That said, Chris is awesome, and I think even Robert would agree that he's more talented."-u/ProblemAtticOU812"Chris' mom was also an actress, as was his maternal grandmother, who appeared alongside Boris Karloff."-u/lacompt Chris's dad is Robert Pine, who starred in the 1977-1983 "cop show" CHiPs. His mom, Gwynne Gilford, is also an actor. Most notably, she starred in 1987's Masters of the Universe. Stephen Shugerman / Getty Images 6. Whitney Houston Kevin Winter / Getty Images Suggested by u/Solid_Primary"She was an absolute musical genius. It makes me want to cry thinking of how she was mocked for her addiction so much by the media before her death. Rest in peace, Whitney."-u/Melonary"Not just her mom, Cissy, but her cousin was Dionne Warwick. I think she could outsing them both."-u/Playinclay Whitney's mother, Cissy Houston, was a prolific soul and gospel singer in her own right. She had two Grammys to her name and performed
