This story was created in paid partnership with Disney+. Bring on the nostalgia. The 2025 live-action retelling of Disney's 2002 animated classic, Lilo & Stitch, has officially hit streaming. Available on Disney+ starting Sept. 3, the Hawaii-set film tells the story of a young girl named Lilo (Maia Kealoha) and the "dog" she adopts and names "Stitch." Stitch is, in fact, a genetically engineered alien who crash-landed on earth. The remake premiered in theaters in May 2025. In July, it became the first title of 2025 to cross $1 billion globally.
