In September 2018, the Cravings cookbook author took to Twitter to share that her last name is pronounced "tie-gen not tee-gan." When asked why Teigen never bothered to correct anyone before, she answered with a witty retort. "I don't correct people, ever," she responded at the time. "They can call me Janet and I won't. Wrong order? I'll eat it. Taxi going to the wrong airport? I'll change my flight.
