The Addams Family-inspired series logged 3.75 billion minutes of viewing for the week of Aug. 4-10. That's the second largest single-week total for any streaming title on the Nielsen charts in 2025, behind only the 4.6 billion minutes for Squid Game in the first week of the year. The 3.75 billion is also behind the massive opening week for season one of Wednesday in November 2022 (just under 6 billion minutes), but that figure was for the full season and came over the Thanksgiving holiday, when TV viewing is considerably higher than in early August. (The second half of Wednesday's season debuted on Sept. 3.) Nielsen says 77 percent of the show's total (about 930 million minutes) came from the 10 new episodes that premiered Aug. 4, leaving about 278 million minutes for the show's library. The Hunting Wives (1.2 billion minutes) and KPop Demon Hunters (977 million) continued their strong runs, though both titles came down some from the previous week. After two big weeks on the movie charts, Happy Gilmore 2 fell off by almost 70 percent in week three to 609 million minutes of watch time. Prime Video's The Summer I Turned Pretty moved into the overall top 10 with 665 million viewing minutes, up 12 percent week to week to its largest weekly total this season. The Eddie Murphy-Pete Davidson comedy The Pickup premiered to 627 million minutes, good for second on the movies top 10 behind KPop Demon Hunters. Nielsen's streaming ratings cover viewing on TV sets only and don't include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure U.S. audiences, not those in other countries.
