Bethenny Frankel is opening up about her unexpected connection to Jennifer Aniston. "I dated Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend," the Real Housewives of New York City alum, 54, said on the Tuesday, September 2, episode of her "Just B With Bethenny Frankel" podcast, referring to hypnotist Jim Curtis. Frankel called Curtis, 50, a "nice guy" but declined to delve deeper into their history. "I'm not going to get into too much detail out of respect for her relationship," she explained. "I'm happy for her." The former Bravo star estimated that she spent time with Curtis "maybe 10 years ago," noting that she was aware of his work in the "wellness space." She added that Curtis has an "earthiness" to his personality that fits well with Aniston's own energy. Jennifer Aniston's Romance With 'Sexy' Jim Curtis Is 'Moving Pretty Fast' "I'm happy for Jennifer Aniston because I do believe she wants to find love. I do believe it's been difficult, as I understand as well as anybody can, and I do believe she's sort of got that earthy, mellow side to her," Frankel continued. "Just because she's an actress and successful - I give her a lot of credit for doing red carpets all these years and doing the same simple hairstyle. ... It just reads very genuine. It just reads very natural, California girl." Frankel even went so far as to say she's "betting on" the relationship working out. "[She's] at a similar age where you have different priorities and you want peace, you want balance, you want support, you want love, you want nice, you want simple, you want easy, but you want to be challenged," Frankel explained, once again calling Curtis a "handsome, nice man." Us Weekly confirmed in July that Aniston, 56, is dating Curtis after being set up by "mutual friends." "They are being super private, but have been spending a lot of time together," a source told Us at the time. "They are happy and really into each other." Later that month, a close friend of the actress told Us that the pair's romance is "moving pretty fast," adding, "They just get along so well." Inside Jennifer Aniston's 'Serious' Romance With New BF Jim Curtis "Jen is so happy right now, and Jim is part of the reason," the pal said, describing Curtis as "cool, laid-back and smart" with his own "successful" life. "He's like a breath of fresh air, and all her close friends are 1,000 percent loving them together." The couple have since been spotted on a double date with Aniston's longtime friend Courteney Cox and her partner, Johnny McDaid. In August, Curtis was on hand to celebrate the Morning Show star as she promoted her LolaVie haircare brand at an event in Los Angeles. Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018, but according to those in her inner circle, she seems to have finally met her match. "We think he may be the perfect guy for her," Aniston's pal told Us. "She deserves all the happiness and love from a good guy, and so far he is checking all the boxes."
