In case the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic wasn't controversial enough, there have been some questions raised over recent comments cast member Colman Domingo made about Paris Jackson. Mondadori Portfolio / Mondadori Portfolio via Getty Images Michael stars Colman as Joe Jackson and Michael's real-life nephew Jaafar Jackson as the singer himself. Earlier this year, it was reported that the entire third act would have to be reshot as its "money-grubbing" depiction of one of the families to accuse Michael of child abuse violated a settlement made in the '90s, which prohibited the dramatization of their story. For now, part one is set to be released next year. Kevin Mazur / Lionsgate /Courtesy Everett Collection Here's a promotional photo of Jaafar as Michael. This weekend, Colman attended the amfAR benefit gala at the Venice Film Festival. Also in attendance was Paris, Michael's 27-year-old daughter with Debbie Rowe. He continued, "I'm excited to be here at amfAR tonight with Paris. It feels like that's a nice way for us to be together." An earlier version of the article further said that the actor claimed that Paris was "very helpful" during production. Paris Jackson / Via Instagram: @https://www.instagram.com/parisjackson/?hl=en "i read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest / didn't sit right with me and when they didn't address it i moved on with my life," she continued. "not my monkeys not my circus." Paris Jackson / Via Instagram: @https://www.instagram.com/parisjackson/?hl=en In a follow-up video, Paris continued via video, "I wasn't involved at all, aside from giving feedback on the first draft and then getting the feedback that [production] was not actually going to address your notes at all." Paris Jackson / Via Instagram: @https://www.instagram.com/stories/parisjackson/3713289671611950016/?hl=en "So I just butted out and left it alone because it's not my project," she continued. "They're going to make whatever they're going to make. A big reason why I haven't said anything up until this point is because I know a lot of you guys are gonna be happy with it. A big section of the film panders to a very specific section of my dad's fandom that still lives in the fantasy, and they're gonna be happy with it." Handout / Getty Images Comparing it to biopics Bohemian Rhapsody and The Dirt, she said, "It's fantasy land. It's not real but it's sold to you as real and a lot of sugar-coated...the narrative is being controlled and there's a lot of inaccuracy and there's a lot of just full-blown lies. At the end of the day, that doesn't really fly with me. I don't really like dishonesty. I spoke up. I wasn't heard. I fucked off. That's it. Y'all are gonna like the fucking movie. So just go watch it. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it." Paris Jackson / Via Instagram: @https://www.instagram.com/stories/parisjackson/3713300970999819110/?hl=en "Something that quite a lot of people are saying is, 'She hates her dad. She resents him. She wants nothing to do with him,'" she added. "That's not my truth. That's not where I'm coming from. I just prefer honesty over sales and monetary gain. I kind of just don't want anything to do with that. So I'm gonna fuck off again and I'm gonna keep minding my business. I suggest you do the same." LEON NEAL / AFP via Getty Images Paris also said that her relationship with her father's fans could be summed up by those who said she was "rude" and had an "attitude" for referring to Colman as "this man," despite having only met him twice.
