Allen Berezovsky / Getty Images For context, Travis - who is now engaged to Taylor - dated Kayla on and off for around five years, parting ways for good in 2022. Back in 2023, the influencer and sports personality candidly detailed her experience of receiving harmful hate as a Black woman. And last year, Kayla admitted during an appearance on the Unapologetically Angel podcast, "I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just online chaos doesn't impact me. You could go to my most recent post, and it'll be people debating why I'm worthless and how I'll never be a talented person." And now, she's hitting back at the speculation. Xny / Getty Images During the latest episode of her podcast, The Pre-Game, Kayla admitted again that the level of hate she receives does impact her. "I certainly have felt like I've been canceled on numerous occasions. I get canceled every month at this point," she began. "It's very rare that I address the cancelling that's happening, but I see it. And I would lie if I said that it didn't affect me or impact me." The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole / Via youtube.com "I don't fear necessarily being canceled because I don't think that people hold that power. I think that God has for me what God has for me, and you guys can't change the trajectory of my life, regardless of what you think of me. However, I'm sensitive. I am triggered," she continued. The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole / Via youtube.com Kayla went on to shut down speculation that she's trying to stir up drama whenever she discusses her own "lived experience." She said, "That's my fear too, is like, when I address things, instead of me ever talking about [my] lived experience, people think that it's just me constantly trying to rehash bullshit, when in reality it's like...I'm just a human who wants to talk about my life. Sue me, sweetie! Jesus!" The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole / Via youtube.com Let us know what you think of Kayla's comments below, and you can find her full podcast episode right here.
