MORE: Follow Wonderwall on MSN for more top news _ According to royalist Jennie Bond, the September 8 WellChild Awards fall on the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's death in 2022, which could make it difficult for King Charles III to carve out time in his schedule for Prince Harry. "The king is usually up in Scotland for the anniversary of his mother's death. So arranging a meeting may not be straightforward," the journalist said. "We have all become quite used to Harry coming and going without seeing his family. His visits are generally extremely brief." _ Although the reunion may not happen the way originally thought, Jennie Bond thinks it's high time King Charles III and Prince Harry put the past behind them. "I will say that a meeting between Harry and his father is long overdue. I have always thought that it is the parent's role to be the bigger person in any family row. You just have to open your arms and say to your child, albeit a grown-up child, 'Come here, you silly so-and-so, and give me a hug,'" she said. _ King Charles III and Prince Harry have been at odds over Harry's security detail in England, which he lost when he retired from his role as a working royal. The court ultimately decided against restoring his security in May. "[A reconciliation] hasn't been possible while Harry was suing his father's own government over his security demands," Jennie Bond pointed out. "Now that that court case is over, a major obstacle to a meeting has been cleared." _ While traditionally King Charles III remains at Balmoral to honor Queen Elizabeth II's memory on the anniversary of her death, there's always the possibly he could choose to see Prince Harry. "Particularly given that we know that the communications teams from each side have met fairly recently and that therefore an avenue of communication is open, a meeting when Harry is here for the Well Child Awards could hopefully happen," Jennie Bond said.
