He refused to take a field sobriety test. Authorities found a rifle and handgun in his car, according to the arrest report. Cutler reached a plea deal with prosecutors, in which he pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI. In August 2025, a judge sentenced the former NFL quarterback to four days in prison and a $350 fine. Cutler also agreed to attend DUI classes and have his license revoked for a period of time. He was ordered to serve one year's probation after his release.
