The official social media accounts for Lionsgate, which acquired Twilight production company Summit Entertainment in 2012, teased on Wednesday that all five movies are set to return to theaters this October. The post included a graphic featuring stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, with the words: "Forever Begins Again." Though exact dates haven't been revealed, Lionsgate wrote, "Tomorrow," in the caption, hinting that more details will be released on Thursday. However, their love is tested by other vampires, werewolves and her friendship with Jacob, who is also a werewolf. The franchise produced five films: Twilight (2008), New Moon (2009), Eclipse (2010), Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011) and Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012). Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Justin Chon, Anna Kendrick, Michael Welch, Christian Serratos and Sarah Clarke rounded out the cast. When the first Twilight film - which had a small, limited budget - was released on Nov. 21, 2008, few could have predicted the movie's success, as it went on to gross $408.4 million worldwide and launched Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner into global stars. Thanks to the devoted Twilight fandom, the whole franchise grossed over $3.3 billion worldwide across its five films. Years later, the Twilight Saga remains beloved by fans - generating endless memes and regular rewatches. An animated TV reboot is also on the way. In 2023, to celebrate the first movie's 15th anniversary, director Catherine Hardwicke told The Hollywood Reporter she believes the film continues to be cherished by fans because "Everybody wants to have that first love. That's just undeniable. That's just a head rush that makes you feel ecstatic. A love that's like a drug.... And that's what I was really trying to create in the movie."
