The project made headlines last August when Joaquin Phoenix dropped out of the starring role just five days before filming was set to begin in Guadalajara, Mexico. Danny Ramirez has been attached to co-star in the movie that focuses on an intense gay romance in the 1930s. Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler are producing for Killer Films. Pascal does not have a deal in place and has been eyed for the role since late last year, though it is now just coming to public light.
