This is not the life a 21 year old should be living."by Stephanie SoteriouBuzzFeed StaffFacebookPinterestLink Last week, the world was left stunned when 21-year-old Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, 23-year-old Jake Bongiovi, announced that they had adopted a baby girl. In a joint statement that was posted to their respective Instagram pages, Jake and Millie said: "This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy." Kevin Winter / Getty Images An insider close to Millie later shared some more info with People, telling the publication: "She's so young, but so focused. And she has the biggest heart. There's no doubt that she's a great mom. Pretty much everything she sets her mind to, she crushes." Jamie Mccarthy / Getty Images "They have really worked on creating this special family life in Georgia. She loves her farm - it's going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up," the source went on. "Even before they were married, she often spoke about her wish to be a young mom. And Jake was always on the same page. They're in it together."Unsurprisingly, many have taken to social media to share their reaction to Millie and Jake's decision to adopt so young, and a resurfaced interview with Millie has sparked a whole bunch of discourse. The interview in question is from the Drew Barrymore Show shortly after Millie's 20th birthday last year, and in the chat, Millie admitted that her only friends are Jake's former frat bros. Speaking to Drew, Millie explained that she had combined her 20th birthday party with a bachelorette party, sharing: "I was like: 'I'm not going to have a bachelorette party,' I don't party, just in general, also I don't have many girl friends." "Like, Jake's fraternity brothers back in college are some of my closest friends, so we had a bachelorette party, but I was the only girl."Thinking about Millie saying her only friends are her husband's. Maybe she will make some mommy friends!" and the post quickly went viral.

In less than a week, the video has been seen more than 21 million times, and people have not been shy when it comes to sharing their thoughts on the situation in the replies and quote tweets - with many expressing their sadness for Millie. For reference, Millie was just 11 years old when she got her big break after landing the role of Eleven in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. Since then, she has launched her own skincare and beauty line and even started her own production company, and now has an estimated net worth of $14 million. And people now feel sad to hear that Millie has missed out on something as meaningful and fundamental as female friendship, with one viral response to the Drew Barrymore interview reading: "Y'all saying she should've been at the club I'm saying she should've been at a sleepover painting someone's nails while they watch music videos." Carlos Alvarez / Getty Images Somebody else wrote: "i genuinely don't know how i would even survive as a woman or a girl if i didn't have any girl friends like omfg that is actually so sad.""her life is just so fucking depressing," another popular quote tweet adds.

Somebody else tweeted: "Something about her makes me so sad to watch. This is not the life a 21 year old should be living."And one more concluded: "Can't get the sentence 'we had a bachelorette party but I was the only girl' out of my head, chills down my spine, a horror movie even."
