Some text messages and emails between Justin Baldoni and others have been unsealed by a judge in his and Blake Lively's ongoing legal battle. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Monday, August 25, Judge Lewis J. Liman ordered on August 14 to unseal redacted exhibits from Lively's motion to compel. One of the exhibits showed a text exchange between Baldoni, 41, and his publicist. In the correspondence, Baldoni shared a screenshot of an Instagram profile that was an "example of someone trolling Blake" on his page that didn't seem like a "real account." The publicist stated that it could be an "actual troll" and that it was "100 percent" not anyone from his team. The docs also included another message between Baldoni and members of his PR team. When asked for an update on how things were going, one person replied that Baldoni and his wife, Emily, were photographed out and about. Baldoni was surprised because he didn't see the cameras while on an outing outside of Los Angeles. He asked his team if that is something he should prepare for in the future. Blake Lively Attempts to Obtain Justin Baldoni's Legal Team's Emails In addition to text messages, the docs showed emails where Wayfarer Studios, which was cofounded by Baldoni, hired Street Relations for their "communication and consulting services" for three months for a total of $30,000. According to the docs, Baldoni's business partner at Wayfarer, Jamey Heath, sent a text message to a person claiming that he hired a "crisis management team" that cost "$9 million." Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively Getty Images (2) "Just have to manage every land mine so it doesn't go off," the text read. "And there's just so much to it." Us has reached out to Baldoni for comment. Lively, 38, and Baldoni's legal back-and-forth began in December 2024 when the actress filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us costar and director. Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her. Justin Baldoni's Team Name Dropped Taylor Swift in Social Strategy Email Baldoni has vehemently denied the allegations and countersued Lively. In June, a judge dismissed Baldoni's lawsuit against Lively. While Lively got the legal win at the time, her lawsuit against Baldoni remains ongoing. The pair are scheduled to head to trial in March 2026. Recently, Lively was deposed by Baldoni's legal team in New York City. According to a heavily redacted portion of the transcript obtained by Us, Lively stated that she believes the alleged smear campaign against her "doesn't feel like it's ended." "We are very pleased with the outcome of her deposition, and now look forward to deposing Justin Baldoni and each of the codefendants in short order," a spokesperson for Lively previously said in a statement to Us. "Deposition testimony is confidential for good reason - it's evidence in a legal proceeding and is subject to objections and evidentiary rules. Juries aren't just handed deposition transcripts to read at home, and instead they listen to testimony that is presented at trial under a judge's supervision."
