Set nearly 30 years after the original film, 28 Years Later stars newcomer Alfie Williams, Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes and follows a group of survivors on a small, heavily-defended island. "When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well," per the logline. "I don't really consider this a zombie film. I consider it an emotional drama in a harsh landscape," Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman said of 28 Years Later in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
