Katherine Schwarzenegger posted a series of photos of her family-including mom Maria Shriver, uncle Anthony Shriver, husband Chris Pratt and brother Christopher Schwarzenegger-having a "perfect day" out on the water in Cape Cod Aug. 22.
And while the water was crystal clear, many of the author's one million followers seemed to be drawn to her little brother, who was showing off the results of his weight-loss journey."I started in 2019, when I was living in Australia," Christopher shared at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in May. "I was on this big trip. I made it a big [deal] like, 'Oh, I'm going to go out and do all this stuff, be in Australia,' and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities."readArnold Schwarzenegger's Son Christopher Shares Glimpse at Weight Loss TransformationBut it wasn't the first time his body insecurities weighed heavily on him."I was doing meal delivery things in high school, and I remember feeling like a weirdo when I was bringing weird lunches to school," the 27-year-old added. "It's not an overnight thing, but it took a lot of trial and error. And even still to this day, when [you see] before and after photos, I don't feel like I'm an after yet."Katherine Schwarzenegger / InstagramStill, he's proud of his transformation-noting he lost 30 pounds after giving up bread during Lent. His dad Arnold Schwarzenegger is also proud of how he rose to the occasion."I could never go and say to him, you're overweight," The Terminator star told The Sunday Times in June. "We just kept introducing healthy foods. We introduced him always to the gym and all of that kind of stuff. And then, out of nowhere, he decided that he wanted to be lean. And now he is. So that is of course fantastic, the self-discipline and the self-motivation. The former governor of California is also dad to 27-year-old son Joseph Baena, fathered during an affair with his housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena.
And while Christopher tends to live a more private life than his parents and siblings, he has graced a few red carpets over the years-including at the premiere of his dad's series Fubar in June and at the screening of his brother Patrick's season of The White Lotus in February. In terms of his own career, Christopher serves as the Vice Chair of the Special Olympics Founders Council, the nonprofit founded by his grandmother Eunice Kennedy Shriver. According to his bio, he's also the Director of Development at film and TV production company Indus Valley Media in Los Angeles and previously worked for creative content agency Malka as well as for sports psychologist Trevor Moawad. A University of Michigan alum, he graduated with a psychology degree in 2020."Christopher, you are a champion and I love you," Arnold wrote on Instagram at the time, celebrating his son's COVID-era milestone. "I know your graduation from Michigan wasn't the big celebration you dreamed about for years, but walking across a stage isn't what makes me so proud of you: it's your compassion, your hard work, your vision, your critical thinking, and your selflessness that make me burst with pride.
