ANGELA WEISS / AFP via Getty Images When Offset's album, KIARI, dropped, people were quick to point out lyrics that are possibly references to him and Cardi B. Axelle/Bauer-Griffin / FilmMagic According to XXL and AZ Lyrics, on the song "Folgers," he rapped: "Bitch aint never happy / why you think yo n- cheat /10 carat diamond had to swap the wedding ring." In the last track on KIARI, "Move On," he seemingly explained why their marriage ended. The chorus goes, "I'm tryna move on in peace, 'I'm tryna move on / Happy for you, why you ain't happy for me?" Prince Williams / FilmMagic He seemingly raps about their shared infidelities before rapping, "Fuck the time that we had, it's erased." He continues, "You never cooked n- no food / You just want to go out to Nobu / Telling me shit that you don't do / Telling me shit that you don't do / You fucked around with the wrong dude / Hope yo' next n-'ll be great." Prince Williams / FilmMagic Well, if you guessed the lyrics went viral and some people aren't feeling it, you'd be correct. Between jokes that Cardi B was always forthcoming about what she doesn't do, and the fact that certain men's expectations are problematic, they're really going off on social media. Pascal Le Segretain / Getty Images, Steve Granitz / FilmMagic In a Reddit thread talking about Offset's lyrics by r/LiberalBanter, one person said, "Men will hyper fixate on a woman's lack of or unwillingness to treat him like a child. Cardi not cooking for you is not a moral failure, not like you breaking the marital vow numerous times." Another person wrote, "If I'm half as rich as them, I wouldn't cook either. Mfs want to go out, cheat and come home to a cooked meal. Get real." "What is it with guys and getting their panties in a twist about not getting food served to them like children? Cook yourself or get a chef or take out. Why does Cardi (the clear breadwinner) also have to make bread for you? This is so childish. Like you're such a baby you need mama to make you your sammy or you'll starve," another person wrote. Another person pointed out how his lyrics reminded them of Halle Berry's ex-husband's recent complaints about their relationship, writing, "Why does she have to cook? This is like David Justice complaining about Halle Berry not cooking." Do you want her to give you a pacifier and blankie, too??" someone else said. On X, someone said, "not gonna lie, wtf is up with these rich wealthy n- wanting their wife to cook/clean who is just as rich wealthy as them if not more. Hire a fucking chef." @Popu1arStranger / x.com Another X user wrote, "Whats these men's obsession with trying to turn women into housewives?? She told you she doesn't do that shit lil bro." @ohyessratii / x.com And finally, someone said what we were all thinking. "She told you in the song, bro. She doesn't cook or clean but she can tell you she got that ring," referring to the lyrics from her 2020 hit "WAP" featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
