In honor of English students getting their GCSE results this week, we're looking back at how some of the top royals performed over the years and counting down to see who did best - from King Charles III to Prince William and everyone in between.

While attending the Scottish Gordonstoun boarding school, Charles graduated with five O-levels (now known as GCSE courses) and two A-levels. He reportedly earned a B in history and C in French. 6. Zara Tindall (tied) Zara Tindall attended the prestigious Gordonstoun School in Scotland. While enrolled, she earned 11 GCSEs with grades A to C. She later earned a B and a C in her A-Levels. 6. Peter Phillips (tied) Like sister Zara Tindall, Peter Phillips attended the prestigious Gordonstoun School in Scotland. He went on to become the second member of the royal family ever to attend college, after his cousin, King Charles III. 5. Prince Harry Prince Harry has called his exams at Eton College a "nightmare," though he was still able to get 11 GCSEs. He later snagged a B in A-Level art and a D in geography. 4. Princess Beatrice Princess Beatrice often discusses her struggles with dyslexia, but she still managed to get two As in the nine GCSEs she took while at St. George's School. She scored an A in drama and Bs in history and film studies. 3. Kate Middleton Kate Middleton excelled while studying at Marlborough College. The Princess of Wales got 11 GCSEs and later earned As in maths and art, plus a B in A-Level English. 2. Princess Eugenie Like Kate Middleton, Princess Eugenie attended Marlborough College, where she earned four As and three Bs in her GCSEs. She also earned As in A-level art and English literature, plus a B in art history. Her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, were so proud of her that they release a statement saying, "She has worked extremely hard towards these justifiably fantastic results." 1. Prince William Prince William received 12 GCSEs at Eton College including As in English and history. In his A-levels, he scored an A in geography, a B in art history and a C in biology.
