But did you know that she possibly wrote it about Alexander Skarsgård? Matt Winkelmeyer / Getty Images for The Recording Academy, Stephane Cardinale - Corbis / Corbis via Getty Images In "Wildest Dreams," Taylor sings about a romance that is destined to end, hoping that her lover will still hold onto the memories they made together, even if the relationship was fleeting. She sings about sneaking around with a "tall" and "handsome" individual, and plenty of fans believe that the song was inspired - at least partly - by Taylor's experience working with Alexander on the 2014 movie, The Giver. Michael Loccisano, Mike Pont / FilmMagic The most compelling piece of evidence is that the "Wildest Dreams" music video depicts a fleeting love affair between two movie costars and was filmed in South Africa, where Alexander and Taylor shot The Giver in 2013. Taylor also has dark hair in the MV, just as she does in The Giver. Taylor Swift / Big Machine Records It's also worth noting that Taylor's love interest in the video kind of resembles Alexander - but maybe that's a reach. This has been a theory among Swifties for nearly a decade now, and during Alexander's appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast this week, host Dax Shepard couldn't help but bring it up. Andrew Toth / WireImage "This one's gonna be tough for you," Dax said, before telling a backstory about how he spent years telling his and Kristen Bell's daughters that Taylor wrote "Wildest Dreams" about him. "And then in my fucking research today, I read that the song's about you!" BuzzFeed TrendingHot TopicThink you're Blondie's biggest fan? Put your ~reputation~ to the test.

This then prompted the host to ask if he has "the same fear to either acknowledge or deny that that could be true because the power of the Swifties is so strong that you just don't wanna talk about it," to which Alexander replied, "Yeah." Taylor Swift / Big Machine Records "It's about Brad Pitt, guys, let's be honest," he deflected, before joking that he wrote the lyrics himself and sent them to Taylor. And while it sounds like we won't be getting any confirmation from Alexander about what could've inspired the song, he did clarify that it's all love, saying: "We're all Swifties". Samir Hussein / Samir Hussein/WireImage Notably, this prompted another conversation between Alexander, Dax, and his co-host Monica about celebrities' reluctance to talk about Taylor on their podcast. "You can't say anything negative - or anything - about her without the army coming for you," Monica said, adding that the publicists of guests with ties to Taylor "normally" instruct them not to bring her up during the interview.
