MTV and Paramount+ have greenlit the main series and its spinoff RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, for its 18th and 11th seasons, respectively. The news comes on the heels of the main series receiving 10 fresh Emmy nominations, including nods for outstanding reality competition program and reality competition host for RuPaul Charles. "We want to express our gratitude to Paramount for their unwavering support of the RuPaul's Drag Race franchise as we celebrate more seasons of spreading joy and laughter," said Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, World of Wonder co-founders and executive producers. No official premiere date has been set yet. Alongside the main shows, the accompanying backstage series Untucked has also been greenlit for new seasons tied to RuPaul's Drag Race and All Stars. Season 17 drew in the highest-rated premiere for the show in seven years, and saw Onya Nurve snatch the crown. RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars recently wrapped its milestone 10th season, where Ginger Minj won the competition after her fourth appearance on the show. While reflecting on her win, Ginger told The Hollywood Reporter that the franchise's growing tendency to invite past competitors back like herself for multiple chances to compete reflects that of the drag pageant world. "It's kind of nice that Drag Race is catching up to actual in-person, real-life drag by throwing back to old school drag pageantry where you do go as many times as it takes," she said. "I think that's why a lot of people have really resonated with my win, because you don't typically succeed the first or second time you try something big. You have to learn, and you have to grow before you can really become that best version that is deserving of the reward." RuPaul's Drag Race season 17 and All Stars season 10 are available to stream on Paramount+. The franchise is produced by World of Wonder.
