Ashley St. Clair got real about her financial woes amid her and Elon Musk's ongoing custody battle, claiming she had to turn to podcasting for money. "I'm getting evicted," St. Clair claimed during the first episode of her "Bad Advice" podcast, which premiered on Monday, August 18. She pointed out her financial predicament before giving a shout-out to her episode sponsor. "Polymarket offered me $10,000 to do an ad read, so with that, the roof over my head has been brought to you by Polymarket," St. Clair continued. "God bless, Polymarket." St. Clair further explained that she chose to start this business venture after a rocky year, seemingly hinting at her drama with Musk, 54. Where Elon Musk Stands With the Mothers of His 13 Children "Well, after a year of unplanned career suicide, many questionable life choices and a gap in my LinkedIn profile that cannot legally be explained, I've decided to start a podcast," she quipped. St. Clair noted that nobody "asked" for her to start a podcast, but that it felt like her only real option. She also poked fun at her lack of credentials to speak about serious podcast topics, saying, "I actually think I have the worst ideas." She then warned, "So consider everything out of my mouth a cautionary tale." St. Clair made headlines in February when she announced Musk's alleged paternity of her baby boy, Romulus, claiming her son was the Tesla founder's 13th child. (Shivon Zilis announced the birth of Musk's 14th child later that same month.) Elon Musk's Custody Battles and Child Support Payments Explained "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father," St. Clair wrote via X. "I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause." She added: "I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child's privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting." Us Weekly reached out to Musk's rep for comment at the time regarding St. Clair's claims. Days later, St. Clair released a statement via her representative claiming that she and Musk were working toward a parenting agreement. Ashley St. Clair Sues Elon Musk for Sole Legal Custody of His 13th Child "Ashley & Elon have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time," her rep, Brian Glicklich, wrote in a statement shared via X. "It is disappointing that a tabloid reporter, who repeatedly ambushed Ashley and her family, made it impossible to complete that process confidentially." The statement continued: "We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share." Later that same month, the Elephants Are Not Birds children's book author filed a petition with the New York Supreme Court for sole custody of her and Musk's alleged son, according to SCOOP. St. Clair claimed in court filings that Musk allegedly "acknowledged parentage of the child in various written correspondences," but claimed the tech guru has only met the boy three times. She reportedly filed a paternity petition at the same time. Elon Musk's Family Guide: Meet His Children and Their Mothers In March, Musk addressed St. Clair's legal battle against him without confirming whether he was her son's biological father. "I don't know if the child is mine or not but am not against finding out. No court order is needed," he wrote via X. Musk then claimed, "Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500K/year." St. Clair fired back at Musk's declaration via her own message on X in March. "Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused," she alleged at the time. "And you weren't sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary ... until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for 'disobedience.' But you're really only punishing your son." Elon Musk's Estranged Daughter Says She Found Out About New Sibling Online Amid their ongoing custody battle, The Wall Street Journal reported that Musk allegedly offered St. Clair a one-time payment of $15 million, in addition to $100,000 a month, to keep their son's existence a secret. She reportedly declined the offer. Although St. Clair allegedly agreed to keep Musk's name off the child's birth certificate, the Wall Street Journal claimed the recent paternity test showed that his "probability of paternity" was 99.9999 percent. Musk didn't publicly acknowledge the claims, but tweeted at the time, "TMZ>>WSJ." (Us previously reached out for comment.) In addition to allegedly fathering St. Clair's son, Musk
